Population Council is an international, non-profit, nongovernmental organization that seeks to improve the well-being and reproductive health of current and future generations around the world and to help achieve a humane, equitable, and sustainable balance between people and resources. 

 The Population Council is reviewing the Alternative Basic Education (ABE) textbooks used for teaching the most disadvantaged adolescent and young girls in Addis Ababa. 

 We are inviting qualified and registered graphic design firms to submit their quotations for illustration and addition of materials to textbooks associated with the revision the ABE textbooks.

 Working closely with Council’s staff, the Digital Illustrator is responsible for:  

-  Creating illustrations that reflect gender equality, culture and are age appropriate and free from stereotypes in the ABE curriculum

-  Drawing objects to illustrate vocabulary

-   Insert illustrations and texts through graphics design in ABE textbooks

 The materials have the following specifications: 

1)    Estimated 136 digital illustrations of

2)    Graphic design, sketching and digital insertion of illustrations and texts in twelve textbooks

Digital Data Illustration and/or graphic design firm who qualifies to apply shall fulfill the following minimum criteria for eligibility:

-        Relevant experience in digital illustration and graphic design.

-        Experience in organizing and designing manuals.  

-        Renewed trade license of the current year.

-        VAT and Tin registration certificates.
