Job Description
The Data Coordinator(s) based in Addis Ababa, Bahir Dar and Shashamene will collect, enter, clean and manage data from various data sources, mainly program beneficiaries in the three sites. Under the supervision of the Research Officer and with support of Senior Research Manager, the Data Coordinators will ensure accurate and timely data collection, entry at regional level and cleaning of program and research data into the appropriate database system.
• Manage the data collection and entry of project beneficiaries and mentors at regional level.
• Undertake data collection among beneficiaries and mentors, ensuring quality and accurate data and ensuring safeguarding of all project affiliates.
• Ensure regional databases are complete, up to date and accurate, including registration data, data from attendance at safe spaces, performance data for each girl, and attendance data from mentors.
• Manage databases of the Population Council at regional level including all MIS databases.
• Manage receipt and storage of MIS documents, as per the organization’s policy.
• Enter data on information collected through routine monitoring and MIS tools.
• Record the number of cases/records entered and the time spent completing tasks.
· Ensure accuracy of all data recorded by comparing the data entered with source documents and resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data.
· Verify, merge and backup data and feed updated database for HQ research staff.
·Respond to inquiries regarding entered data as requested.
·Ensure adherence to ethical guidelines, including confidentiality of the information and secure storage of data.
·Other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
