Background

The International Institute for Primary Health Care – Ethiopia (IIfPHC-E) was established in 2016 by the Ministry of Health of Ethiopia to contribute and play a key role towards the development of a structured, proactive, flexible, problem-solving and resilient Primary Health Care (PHC) system globally. To this end, IIfPHC-E has strategically invested in four major strategic area: Global PHC Support, National PHC Support, Knowledge Management and Monitoring and Evaluation and PHC Advocacy and Partnerships. 

IIfPHC-E’s key objects are to build capacity on PHC, consolidate and expand the evidence-base, share best practices for PHC, and become a resource and network hub for PHC. The Institute will engage in short-term capacity building trainings for policy makers, program leaders, and middle-level managers on PHC at local and international levels. In addition, the Institute will train Ethiopians on Ethiopia’s transformational agenda and leadership. Research activities will include collaborating on PHC implementation research with academic and other research institutes and by providing small research grants. The Institute strives for diversified funding and long-term sustainability through fees for the provision of trainings and consultancies as well as conducting PHC implementation research. 

Project

The Global PHC Support Strategic Area is in the midst of creating the second version of an online course entitled Leveraging Primary Health Care Systems for COVID-19: insights from Ethiopia's Health Extension Program. Part of the course content features videos of experts from different areas of the health sector. IIfPHC-E is looking for a video production company to put together the video content in a timely manner and to a high quality.

Assignment

IIfPHC-E is seeking the services of a competent production house to: 

• Record video interviews at selected offices in Addis Ababa
• Record video interviews conducted via Zoom or other videotelephony software 
• Edit the raw footage in collaboration with IIfPHC-E staff to produce high quality videos 
• If possible, add transcripts of what is being spoken by the speakers in the videos
•  If possible, integrate the newly recorded video footage with old footage from version one of the course

 Duration of the Assignment

• End of February 2020

Job Requirements

• Previous experience shooting videos
• Previous experience editing videos
• Must be able to provide and use all necessary equipment for recording 
• Must be able to provide and use all necessary software for video editing

Deliverable 

• Fully edited course content video footage (approximately 3 hours long) that can be uploaded onto the course hosting website
• Fully edited course trailer that can be uploaded onto the course hosting website
• Edit a previously Pre –recorded Video and produce a trailer that can be uploaded on the course hosting web site.
