MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Stocks Valuation:

• Monthly review of costing of imports by shipment,
• Make recommendations to management on changing costing parameters to ensure that valuation of stocks is current at all times,
• Reconciliation of Stock Master File and work in process to Accounts Ledger on a monthly basis,
• Manage Quarterly Prime products stocks checks and Annual Parts stocks check and follow-up variances and update the ledger after full explanations and details of the variances are received,
• Stocks Provision for slow moving stocks on a quarterly basis,
• Follow up of PRA and Reman stocks to ensure that the correct procedure is followed and the stock master file and Accounts Ledger are updated.

Import costing of parts and Prime Products:

• Ensure that all the necessary documents for the costing of imported parts, machines, Generators and lift trucks are obtained,
• Prepare and process costing by shipment,
• Process costing to the Ledger
• Receive units from Goods in Transit to eCoda stocks,
• Prepare a summary report of the variances between the Standard cost and actual cost of parts by shipment and circulate to Management Monthly.

 Fixed Assets Register (eAssets):

• Maintenance of the fixed assets register with additions and disposals on an ongoing basis,
• Prepare and process the monthly depreciation journal,
• Control of asset movements between departments and processing movements into assets register,
• Annual Verification of fixed assets and update of the register.

 Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by management

QUALIFICATIONS

• Holder of a University degree either in Business, Finance or Accounting from a reputable university
• Certified Accountant CPA (K) or ACCA with CIA and CISA certifications 
• At least 3 years Stocks Management in a similar setup
• Proficiency in a computerized environment with ability to use specialized ERP software
• Demonstrate proficiency in use of computer especially Micro soft office applications
