BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for assuring the safety, security of guests, associates and the hotel property at bars, ballroom, nightclub, banquet lobby and event venues are properly maintained. Continuous patrol and monitoring the area of interest with professional appearance for smooth flow of operation and maximum guest satisfaction. Working at bars, nightclubs, events, and other entertainment venues, Doormen are tasked with maintaining the safety of all individuals in the hotel. 

This generally includes monitoring all entrances and exits, watching the crowd for disputes, quickly controlling clashes, controlling who enters the premises, and monitoring all areas where cash is deposited. Doormen must always remain friendly, professional, calm, and in control of every potential situation. Though schedules may vary, most bouncers work late nights and early mornings. 

Job Requirements

EDUCATION/TRAINING: Completion of Secondary School is required. Professional certification; training in self-defense techniques is desired. 

EXPERIENCE: At least two years of relevant work experience as Doorman/ Bouncer in a reputable establishment is required. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 

• Refined crowd management and problem-solving abilities
• Well-built, physically fit, healthy and alert; physically agile with impeccable reflexes
• Unrivaled observational and conflict management skills
• Good English language skills to facilitate effective communication process
• Must have an excellent guest contact skills
• Willingness to work in all shifts, late night and early morning in particular
• Must have a good knowledge of the products and services provided by the hotel
• Capacity to be strict, as required
• Ability to gather and analyze information, apply a good judgment
