I. Overview  

USAID/Ethiopia Support Program (ESP) aims to provide pathways to a more democratic and stable Ethiopia by building an enabling environment for peaceful and inclusive consensus building processes. To this end, ESP works to strengthen intra- and inter-group relationships and actions, advance inclusive and constructive public discourse. Dexis Consulting Group is USAID’s implementing partner for ESP.  

Dexis will provide the personnel, systems, and technical capacity needed to ensure that the USAID Ethiopia Support Program is operational, grant-ready, and active in activity implementation. Dexis’ Field Team brings the USAIDs experience, relevant field experience, and operations savvy necessary for Dexis to quickly research, identify, and develop grants for activities with local organizations. 

  Dexis is seeking an Office Cleaner to support ESP. This is a full-time position based in Mekelle, Ethiopia.  

  II. Responsibilities    

• Clean and sanitize on a daily basis all the office premises including tables, cupboards, windows, bathroom and kitchen and other areas of Dexis office.  

• Make sure to keep clean all the office before staff arrival to office at 8:00 AM;  

• Make and serve the tea/coffee to staff members both in the morning and in the afternoon.  

• Clean office premises, equipment, kitchen;  

• Keep office in a safe, hygienic and presentable condition;   

• Sweep and mop floor surfaces and empty all waste bins;  

• Clean the glass and mirrors;  

• Report anything in need of repair or replacement to the Office Manager and HR Assistant; and   

• Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.  

 III. Reporting  

This position will report to Office Manager and HR Assistant or designee.

IV. Qualifications   

• At least 2 years of related work experience in an office environment (preferably as a cleaner);   

• Familiarity with using relevant equipment;  

• Basic knowledge of English language required;  

• Must be extremely reliable, trustworthy and a good team worker; and   

• Flexible working hours.
