Tearfund Ethiopia is looking for a Cashier-Secretary for its Recovery Livelihoods Project in Dubuluk, Borena, Ethiopia. The Cashier-Secretary will be responsible for the day to day cash management activities and Secretarial tasks for the project office based in Yabelo, Borena.
Preparing cash vouchers and corresponding checks for proper disbursements.
Effecting petty cash payments, prepares petty cash replenishment and reconcile petty cash balance
Effecting payments for duly authorised purchases of material or services
Undertaking any secretarial works
Office management (office equipment, supplies, filling, etc)
Providing support to the Project Accountant
Proper documentation of Finance and Administration files
Performs any other related duties as assigned by line manager
We are looking for a candidate with:
Diploma in, Accounting, Secretarial Science, Supply Management, Office Management, Business Administration or related fields.
Minimum 2 (two) years of relevant professional experience in a similar position
Good understanding of Bookkeeping/accounting records and principles
Good attention to detail skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work quickly under pressure
Patience and an ability to remain calm
Reliability, confidentiality and honesty
Good computer skills (Microsoft Office and application of Internet/email and systems)
Strong communication skills with oral and written proficiency in English, Amharic and Afaan Oromo
