Job summary

FHI 360 Community Nutrition Activity seeks a dedicated and passionate intern to contribute to our efforts in promoting gender equality, youth empowerment, and social inclusion activities. The intern will support our team in various activities, including program development and implementation, data collection and analysis, and administrative support. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in making a positive impact on marginalized communities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Program Development and Implementation:

    • Assist in the development and implementation of programs and initiatives that promote gender equality, youth empowerment, and social inclusion.

    • Support the design of training materials, job aids and IEC materials

    • Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of program activities.

  • Data collection and Analysis: 

    • Develop data collection tools

    • Analyze data and trends to identify key challenges and opportunities.

    • Develop reports and presentations to communicate findings effectively.

  • Administrative Support: 

  • Provide administrative support, such as data entry, report writing, and document management.

  • Assist in the preparation of ToR and budgets.

  • Support the organization of events and meetings.

Job Requirements:

  • BA degree in social sciences, gender studies, or a related field.

  • Experience 0-1 year.

  • Strong interest in gender equality, youth empowerment, and social inclusion.

  • Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Highly responsive to internal and external requests.

  • Sensitive to cultural differences and the political and ethical issues associated with international health and development work.

  • Proficiency in [relevant software, e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, data analysis tools].

  • Fluency in Amahric, Oromifa, Somali.
