Job Description
The Project Officer of NEWA is responsible to contribute in the effective and efficient implementation of projects that focus on Care Economy/ Unpaid Care and Domestic Work/UCDW. She/ He will assist and provide in all the activities related to the project under the supervision of program manager, program coordinator, and also will manage a project as appropriate.
Assist the program manager and program coordinator.
Develop, monitor and document new and on-going projects mainly project related to care economy
Manage project as assigned by the program coordinator/manager.
Contribute in the design of projects, development of strategic plan and technical documents.
Contribute in the preparation of proceeding, minutes and reports of various activities
Prepare quarter and annual project progress and performance report to donors, Managements and others, as appropriate.
Plan, organize, conduct, coordinate and manage various trainings and other events.
Follow up commissioned professional /consultancy services, review and comment and ensure that they are done according to the TOR and the expectation of the organization.
Monitor and report on relevant activities and impact.
Perform other duties as assigned by the program Officer/Manager
Accountability
Supervision: works independently and in collaboration with other officers in project reporting on regular basis.
Responsibility over data or information: Relevant data and material maintenance and security.
Responsibility over Assets; All Assigned office Equipment, their Maintenance & security.
Professional/qualifications Bachelor’s degree in the field of social science (Social Work, Gender Development, Sociology and Anthropology)Master’s degree in the field of social science (Social Work, Gender Development, Sociology & Anthropology/Development Management/Economics and other relevant disciplines)Relevant Experience Experience in designing projects, preferable on having knowledge on Care Economy, Unpaid Care and Domestic Work/UCDW/, Extensive knowledge and hands on experiences in Implementation and follow up of project. Length of Experience at Least 3 years in NGO setting at Least 2 Year- in NGO setting
