Engineering Department Division Heads (Building) are responsible for the planning and coordination of the construction projects. They provide expertise in the design phase of construction projects by facilitating a better estimate of the costs and the functional implications.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Status of preparatory activities for commencement of new project activities or work sections.

• Follow up and execution contract administration of the project in relation to the operation or execution of the works including: Technical design issues(proposals), records(contemporary), approvals of works and designs, sub contract activities, meetings & etc.

• Prepare work schedules and action plans (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually) for the execution of the projects in due consultation with engineering department manager.

• Assist and direct all project activities as per the action plans of the projects

• Preparation and follow up of sub contract payments (works or service) assigned on the projects.

• Follow the preparation and submission of the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual progress.
  (at HO level) of the projects and make evaluation of the reports.

• Initial and manage the preparations of monthly payment certificates, advance payments, advance. replenishment(installment) documents, final payments for projects and submission to consultants and clients and follow up of effect of payments.

• Attend management meetings of projects when directed by the engineering department manager.

• Plan, initiate and coordinate the demands for purchasing of materials for the execution of projects.

• Coordinate and follow-up of EHS (Environmental, health and Safety) provisions as per the standards of the company and the required specifications of the projects in due consultation with the projects’ safety officers and the head office safety officer.

• Conduct & maintain regular site visits to projects (Minimum of two times per month or as deemed necessary and must be supported by reports) to evaluate and assist in the project activities are undergoing as per the plan

Job Requirements:

• Education: B.Sc./ MSc degree in Civil Engineering or COTEM

• Work Experience: 6-8 Years or above related work experience.
