Camera operators setup and operate digital film cameras to shoot domestic motion pictures or television programs. They work together with the video and motion picture director, the director of photography, or the private client. Camera operators give advice on how to shoot scenes to actors, the video and motion picture director and other camera operators.

Duties and Responsibilites:

• Set up and operate camera equipment for shoots.

• Collaborate with directors and other crew members to determine camera angles and movements.

• Adjust camera settings such as focus, exposure, and white balance to ensure optimal image quality.

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of camera equipment.

• Keep up-to-date with new camera technologies and techniques.

• Capture high-quality footage in various settings and lighting conditions.

• Ensure all footage is properly cataloged and stored.

• Assist in the planning and coordination of shoots.

• Operate handheld, crane, and static cameras depending on the needs of the production.

• Follow storyboards and scripts to capture necessary shots.

• Understand and apply principles of composition, framing, and motion to enhance visual storytelling.

Job Requirements:

• Education: A degree or certification in film, media production, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience operating cameras in a professional environment.

• Advanced knowledge of camera equipment and film production techniques.

• Experience with various types of cameras, including digital, film, and broadcast.

• Proficiency in editing software to review and finalize footage.
