We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Communication Officer to lead the project’s communication strategy. The Communication Officer will play a crucial role in developing and implementing communication plans, creating content, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring the visibility of the project’s activities and outcomes. This role also involves ensuring the visibility of EPS’s role and impact at various events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance the EPS’s profile and stakeholder engagement. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy for the Integrated RMNCH and Postpartum Family Planning project.

• Create engaging content for various communication channels, including press releases, newsletters, social media, and the EPS’s website.

• Manage and maintain the EPS’s website, ensuring timely updates and accurate information.

• Oversee social media management, including content creation, scheduling, and engagement to enhance the project’s online presence.

• Represent the project at events, conferences, networking opportunities, and press conferences, ensuring consistent messaging and promoting the project’s objectives.

• Coordinate with project teams and partners to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all materials.

• Foster and manage relationships with media, stakeholders, partners, and donors to promote project activities and achievements.

• Develop communication materials that highlight the project’s impact and progress for partners and donors.

• Organize and manage events, workshops, and campaigns to raise awareness of RMNCH and family planning services.

• Collaborate with donors and partners to ensure their communication needs are met and their contributions are effectively acknowledged.

• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts, including website and social media analytics, partnership and donor engagement, and adjust strategies as needed.

• Delivering other tasks as given by the project manager

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field with at least 4 years of proven experience in a communication role.

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field with at least 6 years of proven experience in a communication role.

• Proven experience in a communication role, preferably within the health sector.

• Experience in managing communications with partners and donors, including the creation of donor reports and updates.

• Proficiency in website management and content management systems (CMS).

• Strong knowledge of social media platforms and digital communication tools.

• Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.

• Proven experience in representing projects or organizations at public events and networking opportunities.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.

• Experience in NGO and health communication is an asset.
