We are seeking a skilled Video Editor to join our team for creating engaging and high-quality educational videos for the Tutor Me app, targeting Ethiopian students. The ideal candidate will work closely with the curriculum department and media production team to process raw footage into polished, student-friendly content.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Edit video recordings to produce professional-grade educational content.Sync audio and video seamlessly, ensuring high-quality output.

• Add captions, annotations, animations, and transitions to enhance visual appeal.

• Incorporate feedback from subject matter experts (SMEs) and ensure accuracy in final edits.

• Perform color grading, audio balancing, and noise reduction.

• Organize and manage video files efficiently for post-production workflows.

• Ensure final outputs meet platform requirements (format, resolution, and compression).

• Collaborate with camera operators, curriculum developers, and the production team to maintain deadlines.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with video editing software and hardware.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Video Editor, preferably in educational or media production.

• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).

• Strong knowledge of audio editing tools (e.g., Audition) and basic animation tools (e.g., After Effects).

• Attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistency across multiple sessions.

• Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high standards.

• Knowledge of video compression, encoding, and file formats.

Preferred Skills:

• Basic animation or motion graphics skills.
