Job Description
Oxfam is a global movement of people working together to end the injustice of poverty.
The Senior GBV Capacity Building Officer will play a critical role in addressing and mitigating the impacts of gender-based violence (GBV) within communities. This position is responsible for enhancing the capacity of healthcare and social service providers, strengthening community support mechanisms, and improving the accessibility and quality of services for GBV survivors.
Essential Criteria/qualification & Skill for a Long List
Bachelor’s degree in social work, clinical social work, psychology, clinical psychology, public health, psychiatrist, gender studies, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience and at least 3 years’ experience in GBV programming, including GBV capacity building, case management, and psychosocial support.
Strong understanding of GBV issues, community dynamics, and service provision.
Proven experience in capacity building, training facilitation, and program management.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community members.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Proficiency in English and fluency in local language
Training in GBV prevention and response, including GBViE, GBV Case management, CMR and integrating GBV in humanitarian action
Experience in the provision of capacity-building training, SBCC/IEC strategies, and community-based protection.
Previous GBV training provision experience for social and Health care workers, including GBV Case management,
Familiarity with GBV minimum standards
Experience in provision of training on Clinical management of rape survivors
Desired
Mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) intervention experience is a plus.
Knowledge and skills on local languages of the project areas
Can work in time pressure and hardship locations being at the field.
