Ethiopian Construction Design and Supervision Works Corporation (ECDSWCo.) is transforming and diversifying from the current consultancy business operations. About the job
Position Overview/Scope of role:
As a senior Planning Engineer role holder should be able to Co-lead project reporting & preparing baseline program, schedules, milestones, deliverables and timelines as per project management plan
Prepare quantity take off for planning & schedules.
Co-lead preparation of baseline program, schedules, milestones, deliverables and timelines as per project management plan
Maintain detailed construction planning schedules for new construction and renovation work, as required.
Develop and analyze man-hour resources, equipment resources and cost loaded, time-phased schedule.
Producing visual aids to help explain the schedule of work, including bar charts and network diagrams
Coordinate with all project parties to collate project status reports
Conduct regular project site inspections.
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports.
Track projects continuously and identify schedule variances of project status against schedule baseline.
Coordinate with Construction Engineers for resolution of project control issues on site.
Track delays and prepare lessons learned throughout the whole project.
Monitor project progress against an established baseline.
Prepare other reports as advised by the Project Planning Manager
Manage Jr. Planners and planning Engineers as required by the Project Planning Manager
Qualifications and Experience Required:
BSc. In Civil Engineering or Construction Management (COTM)
4 years of related work experience (experience at international company is an added advantage)
Internationals experience or working in an international organization in Ethiopia.

Technical skills
Project Management
Advanced MS- Office (MS Word, MS-Excel), Primavera , Autcad & Revit Softwares
Project Planning skill
Strong Analystical skill
Critical and Logical thinking
Proficiency in Autocad (including civil 3D for earthworks), scheduling software (Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project) and Microsoft Excel is essential.
Attention to detail as well as the ability to see the broader picture
Creativity
Understand drawings and scope of projects
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Good literacy and technical skills
The ability to remain flexible and calm under pressure and in the face of a tight deadlines
Willing to relocate
