ESG Specialist is responsible for identifying and implementing sustainability initiatives that address environmental issues, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and driving continuous improvement in the Bank's environmental, social, and governance practices The role holder is also responsible for engage with various stakeholders, including investors, customers, regulators, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), to understand their concerns and incorporate their feedback into the Bank's ESG strategy.
Job Requirements
Academic and Professional Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental or Social studies, Environmental Science, Sustainability Development Studies, Development Finance/ Economics, Technology, or a related field.
Relevant professional qualification(s) in ESG an added advantage.
Relevant Experience
Minimum of six (6) years relevant experience

Knowledge and experience in ESG practices to initiate and implement tactical changes.
Good understanding or experience of the fields of ESG.
Extensive use of project management approaches including setting project plans, budgets and schedules.
Experience developing linkages and dependencies between strategy and processes for inter-departmental activities and units and developing mechanisms to ensure integrated transformations.
Ability to review, interpret and make precise inferences from a wide range of business reports and data, including budgets, financial reports, business intelligence reports.
Budgeting and monitoring skills.
Project management skills.
Ability to lead, influence and drive change initiatives in support of business strategies within the department/unit.
