PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Conduct all microbiological analysis, involved in document preparation related to microbiology, ensure the availability of required reagents and medias and all materials requiring standardization are done timely.             

Duties & Responsibilities:

          1. Strategy and Implementation

• Participate in department annual plan preparation.

• Ensure the proper implementation of department plans.

           2. Policy, Processes, methodology and systems

• Ensure sustainable implementation of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 22000:2005

• Handle microbiology related matters with regulatory authorities.

• Ensure water quality in both branches as well as the farm.

  3. Running business 

• Perform microbiological analysis of incoming test samples and raw materials where required.

• Conduct yeast population monitoring on every batch of cellar in both branches.

• Microbiological analysis of water samples including farm water.

• Conduct environmental monitoring around process areas.

• Ensure availability of required reagents and medias.

• Writing SATPs for microbiological tests.

• Contribute relevant information to newly developed procedures, technical specifications and others.

• Timely standardization of reagents and medias used. 

           4. People Management

• Work in close association with cellar and bottling supervisors of both branches.

           5. Budget, KPI’s and Controlling

• Participate in department budget preparation 

• Monitors the proper and timely use of the budget

• Raw materials analyzed for microbial load

• Batches tested for yeast population

• Write SATP for microbial test.

           6. Quality, health, Security and safety

• Monitor processes imposing microbial risk and product quality and safety.

• Plan corrective actions to avoid risks and maintain product quality and safety

• Monitors the hygiene and sanitation of process areas.

• Respects and supports fire prevention regulations.

• Ensure the use of appropriate PPEs.

            7. Project management

• Participate in company project design and implementation which requires microbiological expertise.

• Initiate project ideas which improve the performance of the department.

Job Requirements

Education: 

• BSC Degree in Microbiology or related fields. 

Experience:

• 2 years of work experience in microbiology analysis & related activities
