Raw Material Procurement Officers procure commodities and other raw materials that produce our chicken feed, at the right quantity and quality, at the right time, at the right place, for the right price. They play a critical role in ensuring EthioChicken remains cost-competitive and operational, in a transparent, fair, and ethical manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and Supplier Management 
      Build and reinforce our supplier database through market research for both current formulation raw materials and future potential raw materials 
      Develop strong partnerships with key suppliers ensuring long-term success and reliable supply chains
      Onboard suppliers into the Ethio Chicken system and payment terms 
      Provide feedback to suppliers on how they can improve 
      Ensure Ethio Chicken maintains proper licensing for raw material purchasing
  Procure Payment Execution 
      Achieve cost savings by brainstorming with the Department Director for the best prices and payment terms 
      Ensure delivery of raw materials is done on time 
      Collect all purchases supporting documents from suppliers and share appropriately 
      Manage contract creation, review, and approval for large spends
      Strictly adhere to the Ethio Chicken Procurement process 
      Processing payments 
  Communication, Coordination, and Collaboration 
      Work closely with Feed to understand and resolve any issues with RM forecast, inventory, quality, receiving, off-loading, documentation, etc. 
      Provide Feed team with seasonal availability of raw materials for flexibility of formulation and cost saving 
      Work closely with Finance and Feed to ensure a strong controls process is followed and works for all departments 
      Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure suppliers are paid on time 
      Proactively identify and communicate risks around supply of raw materials

Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in management, Logistics, or a related business field
    Fresh Graduate
