Job Description

The Trainee Sales and Customer Relations Officer will support the sales and customer relations team by learning and assisting in various functions related to sales, customer service, and relationship management. This entry-level position is designed to provide hands-on experience and training in the sales process and customer engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities under the guidance of senior staff.

  • Support the customer relations team in addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues.

  • Participate in training sessions to learn about products, services, and sales techniques.

  • Help prepare sales and promotional materials, including presentations and brochures.

  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs and preferences.

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities in the CRM system.

  • Attend meetings and training workshops to enhance knowledge and skills in sales and customer relations.

  • Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily office-based in Addis Ababa, with potential opportunities for fieldwork during client visits or promotional events.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).

  • No prior experience required; however, internships or part-time roles in sales or customer service are a plus.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
