Job Description

The Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing business needs, identifying opportunities for improvement, and facilitating solutions within the ICT and Technology Solutions Directorate. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze processes, and support the development of technology solutions that drive business value.

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Reports to: IT Solutions Director

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their business needs and objectives.

  • Gather, document, and analyze business requirements through interviews, workshops, and other methods.

  • Develop and maintain business process models, use cases, and functional specifications.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Conduct data analysis to support decision-making and identify trends.

  • Assist in the development of project plans and timelines, ensuring alignment with business goals.

  • Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of requirements.

  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure that solutions meet business needs and requirements.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Quality and accuracy of business requirements documentation

  • Timeliness of project deliverables and milestones

  • Stakeholder satisfaction with analysis and recommendations

  • Successful implementation of process improvements

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in business analysis or a related role, preferably in the ICT sector.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient in business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., UML, BPMN).

  • Familiarity with project management and data analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SQL).

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Personal Attributes:

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

  • Proactive and self-motivated with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.

Working Conditions:
