We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Operations Coordinator to oversee and streamline operations in the Oil Seeds & Pulses sector. The role involves coordinating supply chain activities, ensuring smooth import/export processes, and optimizing manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong logistical and operational skills, a deep understanding of Ethiopia’s trade regulations, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Oil Seeds & Pulses sector, ensuring efficiency in procurement, logistics, and export processes.

  • Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth import/export transactions.

  • Monitor and optimize inventory levels to balance supply and demand efficiently.

  • Ensure compliance with Ethiopian trade and export regulations, including customs and quality control requirements.

  • Work closely with the manufacturing teams to align production with export demands and market trends.

  • Maintain and update operational records, including shipment tracking, procurement logs, and performance reports.

  • Assist in identifying and resolving operational challenges to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with finance and sales teams to ensure smooth payment processing and documentation.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.

  • Prior experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in the import/export or manufacturing sector.

  • Strong knowledge of Ethiopian trade policies, customs regulations, and logistics processes.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work under pressure.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems is a plus.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to liaise with suppliers, regulators, and internal teams.

  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional local or international languages is an advantage.
