Position Summary:
The main objective of the driver is to give driving service, Administrative & Logistical support for Pharo Ventures staff. The Driver will report to the Office Coordinator.
Drive staff and visitors to meetings, field missions, and other official duties within Addis Ababa and out of Addis Ababa.
Ensure safety, cleanliness, and routine maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks and submit fuel usage reports.
Support the transport of goods and documents between offices and different locations where Pharo operates.
Conduct pre-trip checks and ensure readiness of the vehicle for long-distance travel.
Adhere strictly to Ethiopian traffic laws and the organization’s driving policies.
Provide logistical support for field activities when required.
Report any incidents, accidents, or mechanical issues promptly.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Secondary school education completed (preferred).
Auto Mechanics Level 3 certificate (preferred).
Good command of written and spoken English.
Skilled in basic vehicle repair and maintenance.
5+ years’ experience as a driver with government and international organizations.
Experienced in operating four-wheel drive vehicles.
Valid Grade 3 driving license.
Proven ability to drive safely in terrain and mountainous areas.
Mature, reliable, hardworking, and helpful.
Strong work ethic with a proactive attitude and professional conduct.
