A Neurosurgeon is a highly specialized medical doctor who diagnoses and surgically treats disorders of the central and peripheral nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and surrounding structures. The role requires extensive medical knowledge, surgical expertise, and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure. Neurosurgeons often work in high-stakes environments such as operating rooms, trauma centers, and specialized hospitals.

Duties and Responsibilites:

• Assess patients with neurological disorders through physical examinations, medical imaging (MRI, CT, X-rays), and diagnostic tests.

• Determine the appropriate surgical or non-surgical treatment based on patient condition.

• Perform complex surgeries involving the brain, spine, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves (e.g., tumor removal, aneurysm repair, trauma care, spinal fusion, herniated disc repair).

• Utilize advanced surgical tools, microscopes, and techniques (e.g., minimally invasive or robotic-assisted surgery).

• Develop surgical plans and discuss risks, benefits, and expectations with patients and families.

• Monitor recovery and manage post-operative care, including pain management and rehabilitation coordination.

• Work closely with neurologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, nurses, and rehabilitation specialists.

• Maintain detailed patient records, surgical reports, and follow-up documentation.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Doctor of Medicine with Specality Neurosurgery

• Experience: Minimum 0 - 2 years of work experience
