A General Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a variety of repair, maintenance, and upkeep tasks to ensure that buildings, facilities, and equipment are functional, safe, and in good working condition. This role involves both preventative maintenance and on-demand repairs across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems.

Duties and Responsibilites:

• Perform routine inspections of facilities and equipment.

• Conduct basic repairs in plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.

• Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks to prevent system failures.

• Lubricate, clean, and replace worn parts on machinery and tools

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the premises (e.g., fixing doors, patching walls, replacing light bulbs).

• Assist in setup and arrangement of furniture, equipment, or office layouts.

• Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Ensure tools and equipment are used properly and stored safely.

Job Requirements:

• Education: TVET Level 4 or Diploma in Electricity, Plumbing or in a related field of study

• Experience: 1 - 3 years of working experience
