Job Description
The Electromechanical Engineer is responsible for overseeing the installation and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in building projects. The role requires integration with architectural and structural teams to ensure efficient and compliant system operation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervise installation of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical systems, and elevators
Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals
Ensure compliance with design, safety standards, and regulatory codes
Inspect system installations and conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning tests
Coordinate with civil, architectural, and electrical teams
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
Monitor contractor performance and ensure quality of work
Maintain documentation and prepare technical reports
Job Requirements
BSc in Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Minimum 6 years of experience in MEP installation and supervision
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in buildings
Proficiency in AutoCAD MEP, Revit, and other design software
Familiarity with local codes and international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC)
Strong coordination, problem-solving, and reporting skills
Ability to manage multiple contractors and maintain schedules
