Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Purchase Officer to manage our company's procurement activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing goods and services, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring cost-effective purchases while maintaining quality standards. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement Management

• Identify and source materials, goods, and services as required by company operations

• Develop and implement effective procurement strategies

• Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions

• Maintain accurate records of purchases and pricing

2. Supplier Management

• Research and identify potential suppliers

• Conduct supplier evaluations and maintain supplier database

• Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers

• Build and maintain strong relationships with reliable suppliers

3. Cost Control & Quality Assurance

• Monitor and analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities

• Ensure purchased items meet quality standards and specifications

• Compare and evaluate supplier offers and prices

• Implement cost reduction strategies without compromising quality

4. Inventory & Documentation

• Coordinate with store and inventory departments

• Maintain proper documentation of all procurement activities

• Prepare regular procurement reports for management

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Job Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or related field

• Professional certification in procurement will be an advantage

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Purchase Officer or similar role

• Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management

• Experience with inventory management systems

• Knowledge of vendor management and contract negotiation

Technical Skills:

• Procurement and sourcing strategies

• Supplier relationship management

• Negotiation and contract management

• Inventory management principles

• ✅ Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
