This role is critical to ensure EthioChicken’s fleet remains supported, safe, and efficient. This person will be our eyes and ears to make sure our drivers and vehicles deliver in a quick and safe manner. The role involves communication with EthioChicken Drivers, Hatchery Logistics staff, and Head Office leadership. By actively monitoring driver behavior, managing critical fleet data, and acting as a direct liaison between drivers, hatchery logistics, and head office leadership, this role directly contributes to minimizing risks, optimizing fuel consumption, and maintaining the integrity of our logistics network.

 KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS 

1. Accidents over time 

2. Harsh driving events, including speeding, harsh acceleration, harsh braking, harsh curving over time? 

3. Out of route (geofence) events 

4. Time taken for a single trip 

Duties and Responsibilities

Driver and Vehicle Safety 

➢ Track dangerous routes by working with Sales and Hatchery Logistics and communicate with drivers when they should avoid them 

➢ Identify and escalate non-compliance with safe and optimized route recommendation 

➢ Respond to panic button presses from AGP Drivers 

➢ Review flagged driver distraction videos and overspeed events to flag dangerous behavior to manager and hatchery staff 

Monitor and Compliance 

➢ Monitor fuel sensors to ensure no fuel theft and fraud takes place 

➢ Ensure drivers do not make un-necessary stops 

➢ Investigate and support unexpected lengthy stops mid-route 

➢ Ensure non-AGP staff do not receive rides in AGP vehicles 

➢ Coordinate with Hatchery Logistics staff for potential re-training or disciplinary action 

➢ Monitor vehicle’s departure and return times so that he/she can provide relevant availability data to the routing team 

Data Management 

➢ Track and reconcile dispatch times with Hatchery recorded data 

➢ Keep software solution up to date on current vehicles, vehicle plate #s, driver names, driver phone numbers, etc. 

➢ Set-up and maintain daily and weekly reports that are sent to leadership 

➢ Coordinate with software solution to ensure we receive the maximum value from the product 

➢ Other tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

Educational background

  • Degree in IT, transport management, computer science, and related fields

Experience

  • Fresh graduate

Required Skills

  • Good computer skills

  • Good communication skills

  • Willingness to work nights on a shift basis
