The Site Logistics Supervisor is responsible for the coordination of all day to day logistics activities of DOC delivery from the Site to EthioChicken customers. They must train and develop their staff to work well together, as well as with Finance and Production to ensure a smooth delivery process. 

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

1. Dead on Arrival – Ensure customers have a positive experience by reducing DOC stress

2. First Week Mortality – Ensure customers have a positive experience by reducing DOC stress

3. Cost per DOC – Manage a lean and efficient team, find ways to reduce costs where possible

4. DOC Delivery Satisfaction – Ensure our customers satisfied on an individual and at regional level

5. Trips with Remaining – Distribute extra DOCs responsibly and strategically to ensure a low % of remaining 

Duties and Responsibilities

Logistics Execution, Collaboration, and Innovation

➢ Oversee the planning and execution of the day-to-day dispatch activities of the Site DOC logistics team

➢ Execute SOPs and policies to perfection

➢ Represent Site operations with various internal stakeholders, such as RSMs, Finance, Site, IT

➢ Work collaboratively to settles disputes across internal and external stakeholders

➢ Recommend systems and processes to improve the DOC logistics operation through speed, efficiency, cost[1]savings, time-savings, etc. 

➢ Lead driver trainings to improve chick handling, customer service, and adherence to SOPs

➢ Report any incidents and challenges to the Logistics DOC Operations Coordinator

➢ Monitor stationery required, proactively raise purchase requests, and forecast annual procurement needs

➢ Decide an appropriate amount of extra for DOA to minimize customers with remaining; review each DO to ensure remaining is properly captured in our databases

➢ Create and share reports upon request

People Management

➢ Coordinate the DOC logistics team's efforts at the Site for an effective and efficient logistics operation

➢ Approve and manage leave to ensure uninterrupted business continuity during staff leave

➢ Develop staff with clear feedback on how they can improve and grow at EthioChicken

➢ Hold your team accountable to their roles, responsibilities, and KPIs

Job Requirements

Qualification:

Education :  Degree in Logistics and Supply chain management, Management, Accounting or other related fields.

Experience: 3 years in the relevant field, including 1 year in a supervisory role.
