Job Description
ABYS Trading PLC is the leading Manufacturing Company of Ethiopia which manufactures agriculture products both for local and international markets. It has been active since 2011 and exported over 40 high quality value added agricultural products which meet world relevant standards to three main destination countries such as America, Canada and Australia and other locations. Moreover, it has distributed such products to local market. Nowadays, in line with government trade, marketing and development strategies, it strives to produce world class products of having high demand. This effort has allowed it to generate foreign currency and create job opportunity for 400 Ethiopian youths. Now it is seeking qualified candidates who have a strong background in quality control and assurance, specifically in the Ethiopian Food Staff Manufacturing Industry. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a deep understanding of food safety standards, and a commitment to ensuring the highest quality products for our customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: A Quality Control Inspector, or Quality Assurance Inspector, ensures that production standards are met and maintained for a given product before it leaves the place it’s manufactured in. QC performs inspections on random samples from a production line; identify defects in the manufacturing process and correcting them. The Quality Control Inspector organizes inspections according to internal and legal standards. Ensure that a quality product is delivered for consumers
Analyze testing results and the frequency and severity of product defects and quality lapses.
Confirm and sign off on daily quality control (QC) records, test results and procedures.
A Quality Control (Inspector) monitors the quality aspects of incoming raw materials to the organization and the products that are ready to be shipped. They ensure that manufactured products meet the specified quality standards set by the organization before being sent to customers.
Confirm that instrument performance and calibration for laboratory equipment are met. Confirm that manufacturing processes are performed in line with established standards and organizational policy
Collaborating with quality personnel for the implementation of systems, procedures, and standards of operation.
Develop and implement all food safety-related prerequisite programs and quality operational excellence models.
Maintaining and calibrating measuring equipment to various testing standards
Questioning the nature of defects while providing future solutions
Alerting the Quality Assurance department of ongoing problems and delivering resolution
Inspecting raw materials to ensure consistency and integrity
Filling out and maintaining proper paperwork
Complying with any and all standards, internal policies and legal regulations that apply to the finished product. Assure compliance to food safety, statutory, regulatory, mutually agreed customer requirements and other obligations.
Fulfill and exceed the needs and expectations of customers and ensure the highest possible satisfaction of the customers.
Ensure the production and supply of safe products across the supply chain
Control threats and vulnerabilities by establishing food defense and food fraud mitigation measures.
Minimize and effectively manage risks and use opportunities to improve performance
Ensure preparedness and response to emergency situations and accidents. Develop matured food safety culture of the management, employees and relevant interested parties.
Periodically monitor measure, analyze and evaluate the food safety management systems compliance and enhance performance.
Continually validate, verify, review, improve and update the food safety management system for the continuing suitability, adequacy and effectiveness of the system.
Establish, implement, document, maintain and continually improve the food safety management system (ISO 22000) in the operations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
BA/BSC Degree/Diploma/ in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Scince and Related..
Experience:
Relevant experience of a minimum of two years in food Factory.
Additional Requirements:
Good timekeeping, attendance, and performance track record.
Moderate proficiency in the use of all standard inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gages, and comparators.
Very good analytical capacity, creativity and strong interpersonal communication skill.
Able to speak and write in English , Amaharic And Afaan Oromoo
Excellent computer proficiency in Microsoft applications
