We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance to join our leadership team in Addis Ababa. The Head of Finance will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, strategic financial planning, and ensuring robust financial reporting and compliance. This role is critical in driving the company's profitability, financial health, and adherence to best practices.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•  Lead and manage all financial analysis, reporting, and management accounting activities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial statements and reports.

• Conduct thorough reviews of financial data to ensure accuracy, correctness, and completeness across all financial records.

• Develop and implement key financial strategies to enhance business profitability, optimize cash flow, and explore investment opportunities.

• Establish and manage the company's budget, monitoring all expenses to ensure strict adherence to allocated limits and financial policies.

• Develop and implement standard accounting procedures and internal controls to improve financial operational efficiency and mitigate risks.

• Oversee general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.

• Ensure accurate calculation and distribution of salaries, benefits, and other employee entitlements.

• Establish accurate forecasts for expenses and revenues, and manage all regular financial reporting requirements.
  Supervise, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous professional growth.

• Participate in performance evaluations of finance staff, providing constructive feedback and identifying skill development needs.

• Effectively liaise with banks, external auditors, regulatory bodies, and other financial partners.

• Ensure the finance team adheres strictly to company policies, financial regulations, and relevant accounting standards.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Master's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized institution is mandatory.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in a finance leadership or senior management role.
Sector Experience: Mandatory experience in a factory or industrial environment is required.

Skills & Competencies:

• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a proven track record of developing and managing finance teams.

• Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel

• Ability to develop and implement effective financial strategies and controls.
