Location: Head Office (mostly factory level)
Reports to: Head of Maintenance

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Preventative and Corrective Maintenance

• Perform regular preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems to ensure peak performance.

• Troubleshoot and repair faults in motors, pumps, compressors, PLCs, HVAC systems, conveyors, and other machinery.

• Replace or repair faulty parts and components to minimize downtime.

System Installation & Upgrades

• Support installation, commissioning, and upgrading of machinery and factory systems.

• Assist integration of new equipment and automation systems.

• Collaborate with engineers to ensure installations meet specifications and safety standards.

Maintenance Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate maintenance records (parts replaced, activities done, issues found).

• Use CMMS or other systems to track schedules and completed tasks.

• Provide reports on recurring maintenance and equipment performance.

Troubleshooting & Diagnostics

• Analyze and diagnose complex electrical and mechanical problems.

• Use manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.

• Resolve equipment failures efficiently to sustain production.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure maintenance work fits safety regulations, industry standards, and electrical codes.

• Conduct safety inspections to identify hazards and compliance issues.

• Comply with environmental and safety rules especially around hazardous materials.

Collaboration & Support

• Work with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure continuous operation.

• Provide technical support regarding equipment handling and troubleshooting.

• Assist in training junior technicians in safety and machine operation.

Continuous Improvement

• Suggest improvements to systems to enhance performance, reliability, and energy efficiency.

• Support management in developing and improving maintenance strategies.

Additional Certifications (Optional/Advantage)

• Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Mechanical Technologist certification.

• PLC/Automation systems training/certification.

• OSHA or relevant industry safety certifications.

• First Aid/CPR certifications are a plus.

Job Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.

• Relevant vocational/associate training in industrial electrical or mechanical maintenance can be acceptable.

Required Skills

• Strong electrical and mechanical system knowledge (motors, hydraulics, power distribution, PLC programming, etc.)

• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostics skills.

• Knowledge of preventative maintenance processes.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

• Understanding of industrial safety standards.

• Good communication and documentation skills.

• Technological proficiency in diagnostic software and CMMS.

• Team-oriented and adaptable to new technologies.

Experience

• Minimum 4 years hands-on experience in industrial maintenance.

• Experience maintaining production machinery (motors, drives, pumps, conveyors, HVAC, etc.).

• Familiarity with CMMS and preventative maintenance programs.

• Experience in installation or upgrade projects is an advantage.

• Root cause analysis and advanced troubleshooting ability preferred.
