KKGW General Import and Export is looking for Safety Officer.
Safety officer is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring safety measures to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.This includes examining workplaces, holding training sessions, evaluating risk, and creating plans to lessen any risks in a given workplace. Take appropriate steps to ensure that workers are properly instructed and notified concerning the hazards of their respective occupations and ensure that all safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations adhere to safety standards and are regularly reviewed, updated, and communicated.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Plan training programs for employees to provide safety awareness, compliance with safety policies and PPE usage. Ensure accurate safety and environmental training records are documented.
Implement strategies to reduce incidents, environmental accidents, and other issues that may affect employees’ safety. Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures on safety and environment.
Prepare appropriate precautions to ensure that all the processes of work shall not be a source or cause of physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic and psychological hazards to the health and safety of the workers.
Prepare reports on incidents (including near misses) and compile statistical information to present to the teams on health safety and environment matters.
Develop, implement, and test emergency response plans.
Ensure that all safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
Ensure that safety inspections, risk assessments, working procedures are managed, and employees are aware of their responsibilities in relation to safety issues.
Tracking safety KPIs like near miss, LTIFR, SIF, Audit finding, lean safety and prepare report. Working with teams to continuously improve production KPIs.
Job Requirements
Common Requirements
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental/Industrial Engineering/OHS or related fields.
Experience: At least 1 year of safety/SO experience in assembly/manufacturing Company.
Skills: Strong leadership, Problem-Solving, Training and education, Planning, Team work, Effective communication skills are essential.
Knowledge: Safety and quality standards, Regulations and compliance.
