Job Position: ICT Division Manager

Job Summary: The ICT Division Manager is responsible to provide hardware and software maintenance, training and consultation, and recommendations about ICT projects. She/he provides effective and efficient leadership to ensure maximum access to implementation of technology services and resources for the benefit of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of information systems and electronic data processing (EDP), 

2. Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development, 

3. Meet with managers to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines, 

4. Participate in hiring information systems personnel and contractors to design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems, 

5. Control the computer systems budgets and expenditures,

6. Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hard ware and software,

7. Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system,

8. Provide orientation to new users of existing technology,

9. Train staff about potential uses of existing technology, 

10. Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resource,

11. Troubleshoot all technology issues and maintain log and/or list of required repairs and maintenance, 

12. Make recommendations about purchase of technology resources,

13. Installs work stations Connect and setup hardware and provides network access to all staff

14. Recommend user privilege policy and Provide network accounts and passwords as required and Monitor security of all technology,

15. Advise staff of security breach and/or change in password or security status, 

16. Identify and prepare hardware for disposal when appropriate, 

17. Manages the day-to-day operations of the organization by monitoring system performance, configuration, maintenance and repair. Ensures that records of system downtime and equipment inventory are properly maintained, 

Job Requirements

• Education: BA/Masters in computer science, MIS or related field 

• Experience: 10/8years of relevant experience 

• Proven experience in software documentation and training material development.

• Demonstrated ability to conduct Training, especially on ICT or software-related topics.

• Excellent writing and communication skills in English/Amharic. 

• Ability to translate technical information into simple, clear, and user-friendly documentation.

• Strong collaboration and time management skills.
