Selam Engineering (established in 2015) is a leading electromechanical engineering company engaged in telecom tower erection, electrical installations, mechanical works, and related engineering services. The company is currently expanding into import and export (international trading) operations.

Position: Manager - Engineering Operations (Electromechanical)

Workplace: Addis Ababa + Project Sites

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead bidding, proposal preparation, costing and contract administration

• Manage and lead the Electromechanical Engineering Operations SBU

• Coordinate engineering design, BOQ preparation, and technical documentation

• Oversee project planning, execution, site supervision and resource allocation

• Ensure project quality, safety standards, and timely delivery

• Supervise site engineers, foremen and project teams

• Maintain client relationships and ensure compliance with contractual obligations

• Ensure efficient use of equipment, logistics, and materials in coordination with the corporate support functions

• Provide periodic project progress reports to management

• Strengthen engineering processes, workflow, and operational efficiency

Job Requirements

Education

• BSc in Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering

Experience

• Minimum 8 years of experience in electromechanical, electrical, mechanical, telecom, or construction sectors

• Direct experience in project management, costing, bidding, proposal preparation, and field operations

• Experience in telecom tower erection, power transmission line works, electrical installation, and related civil works is highly desirable

Desirable Qualities

• Strong project management abilities

• Ability to manage diverse engineering projects

• Strong technical knowledge in electromechanical and power projects

• Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
