Job Description

We are seeking a receptionist responsible for greeting clients and visitors to our office and medical wards, providing necessary information about treatment-related questions. He/she will guide visitors to different areas of the office, contact employees about visitors, answer phone calls and take messages, and sort and distribute mail. The role also involves distributing information about healthcare and other services. To succeed in this role, you need excellent English written and verbal communication skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications like Word and Excel. Previous experience as a receptionist is also beneficial.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and visitors cheerfully and helpfully

  • Support clients in accessing medical and other services

  • Translate for non-Amharic-speaking clients seeking various services

  • Assist clients in navigating the office and other relevant areas

  • Announce clients as necessary

  • Assist in maintaining workplace security by issuing, checking, and collecting badges, as well as managing visitor logs.

  • Answer phones professionally and route calls as needed

  • Assist colleagues with administrative tasks

  • Answer, forward, and screen phone calls

  • Distribute incoming letters to the appropriate offices

  • Provide excellent customer service

  • Manage scheduled appointments arranged by HR or other departments

Working Conditions

  • Working hours will follow office schedules or shifts, depending on hospital needs.

Salary

  • As per the company Scale/ with negotiation. 

Job Requirements

Receptionist Requirements:

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related field.

  • Prior experience as a receptionist or in a related field.

  • Consistent, professional dress and manner.

  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

  • Competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Email.

  • Good time management skills.

  • Experience with administrative and clerical procedures.

  • Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping out with various tasks as required.
