Position Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial reporting to support the strategic objectives of our logistics operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results in accordance with GAAP or IFRS.

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.

• General Ledger Management:

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts.

• Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and classified.

• Review journal entries and ensure proper documentation and compliance.

• Accounts Payable and Receivable

• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding invoices.

• Ensure timely payments to clients and accurate billing to customers.

• Budgeting Forecasting:

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.

• Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.

• Collaborate with department heads to gather input for budgeting processes

• Audit Compliance:

• Prepare for internal and external audits by ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

• Assist in the implementation of internal controls and compliance procedures.

• Ensure adherence to financial policies and regulations.

• Tax Compliance:

• Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.

• Assist in tax planning strategies to optimize tax liabilities.

• Respond to inquiries from tax authorities as needed.

• Team Collaboration:

• Mentor and support junior accounting staff, providing training as necessary.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and systems.

 Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field of study.

• Experience: 4 years of experience preferably within the logistics or transportation industry.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.

• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
