Job Description
Roha Medical Campus (RMC) is a state-of-the-art healthcare facility in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, dedicated to delivering world-class, affordable medical services to Ethiopians and patients across Africa. The campus features an Advanced Multispecialty Hospital equipped with cutting-edge medical technologies and designed with a strong commitment to sustainability through green building practices. Focused on specialized care in areas with limited or no availability in Africa, as well as medical education and research, RMC aims to strengthen Africa’s healthcare infrastructure, reduce the need for outbound medical travel, and position Ethiopia as a hub for medical excellence. RMC is one of the largest private healthcare investments in Africa, with over $130 million allocated for its first phase, which includes the Advanced Multispecialty Hospital.
RMC is looking for a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join our Finance and Strategy team. This role provides hands-on experience in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, investment analysis, and strategic planning for a large-scale healthcare project. The successful candidate will support financial decision-making and business planning while working closely with senior leadership.
Location: This role is based in Ethiopia, Addis Ababa.
Employment Type: 2-Year Contract (Possibility of Extension).
Timing: April 2025
Remuneration: Salary is competitive and will depend on applicant’s background and experience.
Assist in preparing budgets, financial forecasts, and business plans to support decision-making.
Develop financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and financial analysis to inform business strategy.
Identify and analyze potential financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Prepare and participate in interim evaluations and go/no-go decisions.
Support discussions with potential investors and strategic partners.
Take on other related tasks and responsibilities as needed to ensure the overall success of the project.
About the candidate
As the ideal candidate, you have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to bring structure to complex problems. You are adaptable, detail-oriented, and curious to learn in a dynamic environment. You demonstrate initiative and a strong work ethic, effectively managing multiple tasks and contributing to complex projects. Additionally, you excel in stakeholder management and can clearly communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences:
Education: Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Mathematics, Engineering, or another analytical discipline.
Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in corporate finance, financial analysis and reporting, management consulting, strategy, private equity, or related roles.
Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
Familiarity with analyzing financial statements (P&L, cash flow, balance sheet).
Ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate stakeholders, and deliver high-quality work.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Experience with PowerPoint, Power BI, or data visualization tools is a plus.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is a plus.
Prior experience in healthcare or infrastructure projects is an advantage.
Must be based in Ethiopia with relevant work experience
