Job Description
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the financial operations related to our import and export activities. This position requires a deep understanding of international trade regulations, currency exchange, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within the import/export sector and be able to navigate the complexities of cross-border transactions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all accounting operations related to import and export activities
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and financial reporting standards
Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
Coordinate with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure accurate and timely transactions
Monitor and manage currency exchange rates and their impact on financial statements
Conduct financial audits and provide recommendations for improving financial processes
Collaborate with the sales and logistics teams to streamline operations and enhance profitability
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and ensure data integrity
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the import/export sector
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and financial reporting standards
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
