ATTA Trading is seeking a qualified and dynamic Draftsman. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing detailed technical drawings and ensuring the accuracy of work performed by subcontractors and company-owned contracts. The candidate should have experience in contract management, preparing payment certificates, and handling bills of quantities related to both subcontractors and company contracts.

The Draftsman at ATTA Trading will serve as a critical link between design, cost control, and contract fulfillment. Working under the supervision of the Procurement Manager, the Draftsman will produce detailed, accurate technical drawings and documentation that reflect project designs, specifications, and site realities. In addition, the role has significant responsibilities in contract administration: preparing bills of quantities, verifying subcontractor deliverables, assessing payment certificates, and ensuring that all work executed (by subcontractors or in-house) is consistent with drawings, contracts, and agreed specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop precise technical drawings and plans using CAD software based on specifications from engineers and architects.

• Collaborate with project teams to ensure drawings meet project requirements and standards.

• Review and revise drawings to incorporate changes and ensure accuracy.

• Assist in the preparation and verification of bills of quantities (BoQs) for subcontractors and company contracts.

• Participate in contract administration tasks, including the preparation and review of payment certificates.

• Maintain organized records of drawings and related documentation.

• design intent and specifications are clearly documented and communicated, minimizing misunderstandings or errors in construction;

• any variations, changes, or discrepancies between what is drawn and what is built are documented, quantified, and addressed in contract terms;

• all drawings, revisions, and contractual documents are well organized, accurate, and available as reference for decision making, cost control, and audits.

Job Requirements:

• Experience: At least 2 years of experience working as a Draftsman / Draughtsman, preferably in construction or engineering projects, with exposure to subcontractor work and contract‐related documentation.

• Education: degree in Drafting, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related technical field.

• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD mandatory; knowledge of Revit, Civil3D, or similar is a plus).

• Good knowledge of bills of quantities preparation and measurement take‐offs.

• Understanding of contract documents: scope of work, payment terms, variation orders, subcontractor agreements.

• Ability to interpret drawings, technical specifications, material specs.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good communication skills, ability to work with different stakeholders (site, engineering, procurement, finance).

• Ability to do site visits and field measurement.

• Able to manage several tasks/projects and adapt to changes.
