Job Description
With guidance and overall supervision of the UN Women Regional Liaison Adviser, and under close supervision from the Liaison Specialist, the Intern is expected to undertake the following tasks:
Prepare concept notes, agendas and related working documents for the ECO regional level policy advocacy and strategic partnership building initiatives
Contribute to the documentation and dissemination of lessons learned in the promotion of GEWE
Collect data for talking points, briefing notes and policy briefs to be conducted on the regional level activities of the office.
Contribute to the Ethiopia Country Office regional level quarterly and annual reports.
Support Ethiopia Country Office communications team through contribution to visibility products on regional level initiatives.
Provide logistical support to the coordination of advocacy events and ensure the documentation of the outcomes
Maintain and update the calendar of the liaison internal and external meetings
Undertake any other relevant duty as may be required.

Required Skills and Experience
Education:
The intern must currently be enrolled in a graduate (Master's) degree program or a final academic year of a first university degree programme or recently graduated from university and will be able to commence the internship within one year of graduation. In the fields of Social Science, Law, Development Studies, Gender/Women studies, or other similar subjects.
Having similar experience in gender related issues especially with government organizations or other development partners is a plus.
Language:
Excellent communication skill (written and oral) in English language. Knowledge of French language is a plus.
