Job Description

Under the direct supervision of the NEBE communications Specialist, the incumbent will provide technical assistance to NEBE on all substantial and operational matters pertaining to the management of social media communications.

Specific duties include:

  • Manage and develop content for social media outlets of NEBE;
  • Support NEBE in managing and developing content for the NEBE website;
  • Conduct social media monitoring on contents related to elections and political processes related to NEBE’s undertakings.
  • Draft reports on trends on social media and identify communications gaps of NEBE.
  • Organize NEBE’s digital archive of information and images related to elections;
  • Provide regular updates and draft reports and other documents according to the Project’s reporting framework as well as ad-hoc requirements.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as requested by NEBE and the Chief Technical Advisor

Job Requirement

Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree in, Communications, Political Sciences, International Relations or related field.

Interested applicants must have a Minimum 4 years with bachelors and 2 years with Masters’ degree specialized experience in national context in communication, of which 2 specifically working with social media; extensive experience in drafting official documents and content for social media to be circulated at senior level and publicly, experience in the media industry is an asset; experience of working with UN administration and familiarity with UN policies of electoral assistance and understanding of UN/UNDP programming arrangements is an asset.
