Currently, we are seeking for a Qualitative Researcher with high level of consultancy experience enthusiasm, and resilience.

Duties and Responsibilities

·         Coordinate and lead project team members

·         Access and prepare literature review

·         Prepare research proposals across various fields

·         Recruit eligible respondents to conduct interview

·         Analyze and evaluate competitor data and industry trends to understand current business unit competitive posture

·         Conduct interviews with respondents based on  Frontieri’s protocol

·         Properly record the audio files

·         Take discussion notes and summarize according to the research thematic

·         Conduct transcription (Changing audio into text) of local language of the study area.

·         Conduct translation in to English version

·         Properly Keep filed notes, data, report, names and background information's of the respondents

·         Submit on time all filed materials, notes, data, translated and transcribed data and filed  equipment

·         Prepare logbooks and record in daily base  scenario of the field activity

·         Write field report

·         Prepare field movement plan

·         Synchronize daily base audio and data from filed by using different communication channels

·         Maintain the quality of data at field level

·         Properly communicate and respond to filed supervisors and project coordinators when needed

·         Any additional task delegated by immediate supervisor

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

·          MA in  Social Science, Statistics,and any other related fields ,with 5 years of qualitative research experience across various  fields

Technical and Other Skills 

• Technical knowledge and conceptual understanding of sampling methodologies for qualitative and quantitative  research studies with relevant skills, competencies and experiences;
• Practical experience in designing sampling methodologies for large-scale surveys;
• Practical experience in using CSA’s enumeration areas (EAs) for ultimate sample selection;
• Excellent in econometric software (at least SPSS and Stata), data collection application software and GIS software (ArcGIS);
• Excellent analytical skills,
• Experience in qualitative data collection
•  The ability to conduct transcription and translation at field level
• Proficiency in Speaking and writing and typying  Oromiffa, Tigrigna and Sidamigna ,Somaligna,Afragna etc.
•  Fluent in Writing and speaking English language,
• Abilities of working in tight environment to make things happens within the deadline etc.
