JOB SUMMARY      :

Dispensing medicines and contraceptives according to existing rules and regulation of FGAE and the directive of the Nurse or the Doctor. Maintain Minimum stock level, Minimum order level, and inform and request for replenishment; Maintain Dispensary item lists, stock lists accurately and with due care;

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS :

  1. Responsible for the up-keep of all contraceptive and medical supplies and equipment;
  2. Responsible for the request and purchase of drugs and other medicaments;
  3. Ensures that all kinds of contraceptives medical supplies are available in adequate quality and keeps proper records of stock;
  4. Issues the right kinds of supplies, contraceptives and medicaments according to the prescriptions given;
  5. Gives proper explanation and direction to clients on the type, duration etc of contraceptives or medicaments description issued;
  6. Ensures that contraceptives and other medical supplies are utilized before their expiry dates;
  7. Ensures that all types of medicines and supplies are properly kept and maintained;
  8. Prepares and submits stock reports as per the Association’s rules and regulations;
  9. Prepares and disburses stocks in consultation with the concerned units and approval of the Clinical Director.
  10. Performs such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.

 

Job Requirements

BSc/Dip-Pharmacy Technician/Druggist

2 years for BSc or 5 years for Diploma after graduation , shall posses an extensive experience  in same or similar health/ hospital  (preferably public sector) settings

Knowledge of health care program & pharmacology service provistion.computer skill in relevant software is desired.
