Job Description
Overall Purpose of the Job
The incumbent is responsible for woreda level planning, implementation, monitoring, follow up and evaluation of ongoing emergency projects in the field locations. Collect and analyse monthly progress reports to support management decision making. Support in rapid assessments and design of new programs. Assist in the representation of HelpAge in woreda and other coordination mechanisms pertinent to the emergency projects.
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Supporting the oversight and management of HelpAge’s Emergency and recovery programmes at woreda level

KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Internal: Emergency Programme Coordinator /Officers in the field
External: Various humanitarian actors in woreda and other coordination mechanisms
Educational Background:-Diploma or BSC or BA degree in the field of emergency/disaster management, Rural Development, social sciences ,project management, economics, or relevant experience ;for Diploma minimum of 5 years’ experience; for BA/BSC 2 years and for MSC/MA Zero year of experience in supervision and control of projects.

Ability to engage, seek and provide clarity and deliver on issues that are not always clear; previous experience working on issue of older persons is an advantage. The ability to travel at a very short notice period and for extended periods to difficult environments, often in very basic living conditions
