 Currently, we are seeking full time Survey Management & Data analytics Consultant  with high level of consultancy experience enthusiasm, and resilience.

Main duties and responsibilities

·   Assess and prepare literature review;

·    Prepare research proposals across various survey and data analytics relevant fields;

·   Elaborate research objectives, thematic issues, and construct research proposals accordingly;

·   Construct appropriate designing of research methodologies, design tools and instrument and project implementation;

·  Conduct statistical and econometric analysis;

·    In collaboration with the research and survey team produce quality research report;

·   In collaboration with the research fellows, develop innovative approaches such new techniques as may be necessary to achieve the objectives of the research;

·   Follow up the effective implementation of projects with the highest quality and agreed timeline;

·  Participate in the documentation and dissemination of lessons learned ;

·  Ensure confidentiality of all reports and proposals ;

·  Manages and evaluates survey work activities, projects and programs; assists staff with resolving difficult and complex problems; develops and directs the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and work standards; renders administrative decisions where interpretations are necessary;

·  Publish research and survey papers in high quality peer-reviewed journals;

·  Apply innovative approaches and new techniques  in terms of technology usage, and data analysis software for different qualitative and quantitative surveys;

·  Prepare Survey implementation guideline, Field supervision guideline, and quality assurance and data management framework; and evaluate the projects accordingly;

·   Programming and scripting with CSPro, Survey Solution, Survey CTO and ODK;

·  Produce  different tabulation in different variables to analyze the data;

·   Analyze data in STATA, SPSS, NVIVO and ATLAS.TI software; and report writing using analyzed data;

·  Represent the organization in workshops and meetings;

Job Requirements

·   PhD in Statistics or closely related discipline or equivalent research methods and statistical procedures;

*+ 5 years of Survey Management and Project Management experience with high level methodological and theoretical research on statistical problems and data analysis

Other Skills

·   Support and develop team members to optimize talent;

·   Ability in coordination  of project and Survey  implementation;

·    Must have a structured and have a solution-oriented approach and an interest to learn new things, especially in advanced Data Analytics;

·   Ability of working in an organized manner;

·   Ability of meeting challenges and generates suggestions for improving work;

·   Sense of responsibility and ownership;

·   Excellent analytical skills;

·   Ability to work with advance  SPSS,STATA, NVIVO and ATLAS.TI software;

·   Ability to do scripting and program design through  CSPro, Survey solutions, Survey CTO or ODK etc. 

·   Knowledge and experience in applied statistics and data visualization;

·   Proficiency in verbal and written English language;

·    Proficiency in computer skills;

·    Additional local languages (Oromifaa, Tigrigna and Somaligna is a plus );

·    Abilities of working in tight environment to make things happen within the deadline;

·    Demonstrated success in creating collaborative relationships with various government and non-government organizations.
