Duty station: Addis Ababa

Term of employment: One year with high possibility of extension

Job Description

Main duties and responsibilities

  • As an advocacy officer serve as the focal point for all DSW Ethiopia advocacy work, including: coordinating, facilitating and supporting implementation of DSW’s advocacy strategy
  • Coordinate and carrying out advocacy campaigns in collaboration with youth and other partners
  • Represent DSW on different advocacy events on youth issues
  • Closely work with concerned departments and units in the  designing and implementing of specific advocacy activities.
  • Ensure that DSW is able to mobilize and engage its partners on advocacy issues.

Job Requirement

  • MA/ BA in in Sociology, communication,  population studies, public health, reproductive health  and other social  related field of study
  • Good communication skills in both international and local languages
  • Actively participated and served in youth development and SRH activities  at least for more than three years
