The Finance Manager is expected to optimize the financial and operational performance of the Company by designing and implementing sound financial management and reporting systems that provide accurate and up to date information for better decision making.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement cost effective financial management and accounting systems to ensure financial management efficiency and safeguard the finances of the Company against unauthorized usage.
  • Oversee effective implementation of Company financial policies and procedures and ensure relevant government regulations are understood and duly observed by all concerned.
  • Coordinate the Company’s annual budget preparation and review business unit level budgeting discipline to ensure achievement of strategic objectives by prudent use of available financial resources.
  • Undertake active resource mobilization to ensure availability of sufficient funds to finance the Company’s operation.
  • Lead and coordinate the preparation of periodic financial statements and reports to reflect the Company’s performance.
  • Ensure that all sales and other incomes are collected on time as well as timely payment to creditors.
  • Follow up compliance with tax and other regulatory and prudential requirements and guidelines and ensure timely and accurate payment of all tax and pension obligations to the concerned organizations.
  • Establish close relationships with Tax Authorities in matters related to periodic tax reports, payment of taxes, custom issues etc.
  • Manage bank deposit balances and maintain good working relationships with banks.
  • Oversee timely and accurate bank reconciliations for all the company’s accounts.
  • Manage the company’s post-paid accounts by monitoring the level of expenditure.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and promptly execute on their findings and recommendations in consultation with senior management.
  • Closely monitor and ensure accurate and up to date accounts and financial records are maintained based on the company’s financial policy and procedure. 

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience:

  •  Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management, Business Administration or related field with six (6) years’ experience of which four (4) at managerial level.  OR
  • BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management, Business Administration or related field with eight (8) years’ experience of which four (4) at managerial level.
  • The position holder should possess the following knowledges, skills and abilities: 
      • Team player and strong leadership skills;
      • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail;
      • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
      • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
      • Energetic and enthusiastic individual with the ability to work on his/her own initiative with minimal supervision.
