Job Description
Job Summary The Procurement Manager is responsible for the procurement of materials and services of the Company. The Manager ensure procurement policies and procedures are effective in obtaining quality goods and services as per the company’s requirements at the lowest cost.The manager handles bids, vendor selection, negotiation, creation and maintenance of contracts, purchase orders and outline agreements,in conformity with commercial terms and conditions of the transactions. Manages the company’s supply of products & services, and design best ways to minimize procurement costs and expenses.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct, execute and control the overall procurement activities of the company
- Finalize details of purchase orders, deliveries&ordering of the necessary goods and services
- Examine existing contracts and devise &use fruitful Vender Sourcing Strategies
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations
- Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
- Predict unfavorable events through analysis and design strategies to manage these events
Job Requirement
- MA or BA Degree in Purchasing & Supplies Management, Supply Chain Management,Business Administration or related field of study.
- Minimum of 12/16 years overall experience out of which 6/8 years in managerial position in a reputable company.
Key Competency
- The candidate shall have good Leadership, Operational Management, Performance Management, Communication and Interpersonal skills
- Knowledge on Local Procurement Regulation is also mandatory
