Company: ADCO Property Management 

Job Title: Senior Finance Officer  

Reporting to: General Manager 

Major Duties and Responsibilities  

 Preparing Company Financial statements 

 Design short and long term strategic plans for financial systems development of companies as required and ensure implementations when authorized or approved

  Review the existing financial policies and procedures and recommend the best and up to date financial policy and procedures;

 Make sure that the operation of the company’s accounting and financial policies are as per company policies, objectives and up to the standard

 From time to time follow-up and ensure the maintenance of sound asset, liability and capital structure by each site, so that the required level of liquidity and profitability is met

 Analyze the financial statements of companies and propose means of improving their financial position and maintenance of an optimum working capital

 Represent companies for discussion in the tax offices and perform all tax planning activities;

 Assist the GM to deliberate on the report of the external auditors; and take action on the findings when authorized work as active member of the Audit Review Committee

 Evaluate and ensure the adequacy and reliability of the companies' internal control system

 Ensure the company meets timely tax obligations (income tax, withholding tax, vat profit tax) 

 Ensure that all finance staff and officials of the companies are well aware of tax proclamations and up to date copy of proclamations are maintained in the companies for reference; and 

 Make sure that periodic deliverables to the office are timely received and the necessary standard is also adhered to.

 Collecting, interpreting and reviewing financial information 

 Predicting future financial trends 

 Reporting to management and stakeholders, and providing advice how the company and future business decisions might be impacted 

 Producing financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses etc. 

 Developing long-term business plans based on these reports 

 Reviewing, monitoring and managing budgets

  Developing strategies that work to minimize financial risk

  Analyzing market trends and competitors. 

 Requirements: 

 Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. 

 4 years work experience in a senior management position. 

 Strong financial and accounting background, including an understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management and general finance and budgeting.

 Experience with corporate governance.

  Proven negotiation skills.  

 Experience with budget management, accounting, and cash flow. 

 Ability to understand new issues quickly and make wise decisions. 

 Ability to inspire confidence and create trust.

  Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively and delegate. 

 Knowledge of IFRS for SMEs is an advantage ! Knowledge of Peachtree and other Accounting Software
