Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all feed products
  • Collaborates with feed business director and NFSM to develop sales strategies to improve feed market in all product lines.
  • Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly, monthly and weekly revenues from feed sales.
  • Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly, monthly and weekly feed sales volume.
  • Develop feed sales plan based on feed market expansion.
  • Plan how to achieve feed sales volume through prioritizing to make big achievement with minimum effort and shorter time.
  • Work on promotion activities in the area with woreda coordinator, ASM and RSM.
  • Assist or support feed dealers on feed market & knowledge gap on regular visiting and training.
  • Support commercial farmers technically and train them on spot.
  • Give technical recommendation during commercial farm visit.
  • Supervise commercial farms and provide report on farm supervision to FRSM.

Sales activity

  • Achieve sales volume of feed in the area.
  • Increase feed dealers and sub feed distributors in the area.
  • Work with zonal and woreda gov’t team to facilitate feed sale from feed dealers
  • Manage feed sale areas.
  • Update & communicates information on competitors’ products for pricing and product.
  • Follow up feed dealers on all feed business activity.
  • Locating and developing relationships with new feed customers.
  • Strongly assess and feedback the result of company feed on end users.
  • Handel the dealers feed price not exceeding to the Margin.
  • Create market linkage between feed dealers and commercial farmers.
  • Collect feed sample for lab test when any defect in the feed is reported.
  • Work    with Ethiochicken wereda coordinators and DOC ASMS on recruiting feed dealers.
  • Work with Ethiochicken wereda coordinators and DOC ASMS on creating linkage between feed dealer and commercial farmers.
  • Provide update on poultry feed information and technical support to Ethiochicken wereda coordinators and DOC ASMS.

Team development

  • Manage and motivate the feed dealers to achieve targets through support and close supervision and training.
  • Particularly create good relationship and environment with related experts and government officials.
  • Create good relationship and working environment with ASMS and wereda coordinators.

Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Interprets short- and long-term effects on feed sales strategies in operating profit.
  • Holds regular meeting with feed dealers and commercial farmers.
  • Reviews progress offered sales in the area.
  • Make feed sales assessment result on weekly and monthly.

Government relation

  • Develop good working relationship with key sector government officials and expertise.
  • Represent the company on all sector related meeting and activities.
  • Have updated government regulations policies and directive which affects our business.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Exceeding volume growth targets
  • Increased feed order size and feed dealers.
  • Established strong and reliable feed dealers.
  • Recruited, trained and deployed vibrant sales team who derive sales function
  • Develop strong relationship with sector government structure which supports our business.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Degree in Animal Science or Veterinary Medicine (DVM).

Work experience

  • Fresh graduate (0 year)

Skills needed

  • Fluency in Afan Oromo
